I got a replacement hampster last night. It's a Chinese one because I did a little research and from what I read they're supposed to be the best tempered of the dwarfs. She's a bit antisocial at the moment, but I just got her. Still, I'm giving her a week and it she doesn't get a bit more friendly by then I plan to take back her, the cage and the little ball and just get a rat. Or a fish. Koi will eat out of your hand. I'm not trying to be hard on the little thing, but I wanted a pet to be a pet, not just a high mantinance decoration. Oh yea, and my 3-D professor, with his just wonderful timing, asked me this morning where my couch was (I built a couch for my last project). I told him I took it home (one of the reasons my mom stayed a few extra days is so I would have some way of getting it back here) and he looked at me like I was crazy and asks why?. Hmmmm..... maybe because I didn't want to spend a few hundred on a project and then donate it to the school who already gets a fortune from me in tuition? Anyways, he picked this morning to inform me he wanted to have it photographed for the department and had planned to display it in the building's lobby. While I'm highly flattered, he could have mentioned this, oh, I dunno, before I made special arrangements to get the damn thing back to my apartment?
