No class today. They gave us the day off for MLK Day, but we have to make it up Friday so I would have perfered to go today. Had my first critique with my sculpture professor last week. I ended up getting very defensive, which I felt bad about. I normally have no problem taking criticizim related to my work during a critique. I almost always already have noticed the problem or am glad it was called to my attention so it can be fixed or not occur next time. With this guy, critiques are hellish. It really feels like being on trial. Plus he had the audacity to berate my project because of certain aspects that were things he had told me to do to it. That kinda pissed me off. I am going to start checking ratemyprofessor.com before I sign up for classes though, because so far my luck at picking them is crappy. He actually has worse ratings on there than my evil design teacher. I don't quite agree with that, but I still wish I hadn't signed up for his class.
Had my first dodgeball game last night. (I'm playing dodgeball as an intramural sport) My team got our asses handed to us, but it was fun. I got pegged pretty hard in the back once and have a little bruise this morning, but meh. I only played 2 out of 3 games as there were more players on our team than players allowed to play at one time. I actually found it was almost as fun to watch as it was to play so it's all good. (I normally don't really like to watch sports) I pity one of the guys on the other team though. He has wearing one of the wrestling spandex things and I think he got hit pretty good in the crotch once. Somehow think his outfit didn't provide much cushion for that, but he didn't die so it's all good.
