My car is about to die.
Now don't laugh, but I have a 1996 Geo Metro. I bought it brand new for $8700, out the door with 13 miles on the odometer. It has absolutely no options whatsoever. Manual transmission, manual windows, manual door locks, manual steering, and an AM/FM radio (no CD, no cassette, no 8-track).
It has a 1.0 Liter engine. Take a two liter pop bottle, drink half of it and what is left is the size of my engine!
I bought it becasue it was costing a small fortune to drive my truck back and forth to work. I drive almost an hour each way. I was spending almost $400/month just in gas! The Metro get 55 mpg, the truck gets less that 14!
Now, it's has got to be the most uncool car on the road and I need a long downhill straight road and a running start to actually pass anyone with it, but it has got to be the best car I have every owned. I have had absolutely no problems with it at all (beyond normal wear items).
I have over 178,000 miles on the odometer but it has just recently started making all sorts of grinding noises from the transmission.
I'm thinking that it it's final death cry.
So long little friend.....

That was my first car! It was a little green one, it looked like a frog, and it had a bunch of political bumber stickers on the back- some drunk girl hit me head on though, and totaled it
I still have a geo though- only now its a tracker
