It's kind of a lont drawn out story, so stick with me......
Ok, way back when, about the second or third Monday Night Football game of the season, I was in a local sports bar, up at the bar, waiting for the game to start and some friends to show up. I struck up a converstion with this cute girl next to me. She was pretty easy to talk to, we had a lot of shared interests, the conversation went really well. Come to find out, her dad owns the bike parts shop where I buy a lot of parts and I used to work with her aunt right after I got out of the Army. Small world.
Anyways, I was definately interested in her but she had to leave to meet up with friends. There is a comedy club in town that has a bike night every Wednesday durinng the summer and she told me that she was going up there with her friend on the upcoming Wednesday. So, I told here maybe I'd see her up there. Unfortunately, it ended up raining that day. I never was able to figure out another way to "bump" into her without coming across as a stalker and I haven't seen her since then.
So, after she left the bar that night, I noticed that my friends had shown up so I went up to sit with them and watch the game. I've known the both of them since grade school and one of them brought a mutual female friend of ours that we had also known since grade school. I hadn't seen her since, forever.
So, I'm talking to her and catching up and I find out that she's an art teacher for a college North of here. I asked her if she would be interested working with me to modify a design I have for a new tattoo and she said sure, she'd love to. Cool!
Now, I'm telling everyone at the table about this really hot chick I was talking to over at the bar when Christie pipes up and says: "you said her name was Kim?" and I said "yea!" and she said "Kim's my cousin!" and I said "no shit!". So I tell her to put a good word in for me if she has the chance.
Told you it was a long story......
I e-mailed Christie my tattoo idea and she has sent me some standard e-mail jokes since then. Monday of this week, I e-mailed her to touch base and find out if she was still interested and that if she had the time, maybe we could get together for drinks, shoot the shit and sketch out some ideas.
She responded this morning and said sure but that it would probably have to wait until the middle of April. Cool.
She also went on to ask if I remembered a girl from the bar that night, Kim, her cousin?
Well, yea! Duh.
She tells me that Kim was interested and would I mind if she gave her my phone number..... Well, yea! Duh, give it too her! (I was a bit more subtle though.) Evidently Kim doesn't have e-mail.
So, I'm hoping she'll call but I don't know how often the two of them see or talk to each other. Hmmmmm *crosses fingers*
