Oh happy day!
Finally, my refund check got here from my whole Best Buy debacle. It was in the mailbox when I got home after work! First thing I did was drive to the camera store and buy me a brand spankin' new D-Rebel. Cool, except for one thing......I ordered a 512 Meg. CF card online but it hasn't gotten here yet. Damn. So I went to the local Wal-Mart and bought the cheapest one I could find. I figure I'll use it until my nice high speed one gets here, then take it back and get a refund.
Now I can start taking some serious pictures, well, as serious as I get anyways! Of course, it's dark outside now, so that kinda blows the whole taking pictures outside thing. Hmmmmmm, my poor cat, I'll probably end up with about 50 pictures of him before the night is through. I'll probably burn out his retina's from the red eye reduction flash. Poor thing.
I had to run down to the shop where I work and pick up my work laptop. I'm going to load the Photoshop software on that because my home laptop is still running Win95 so it won't support my new camera. Damn new fangled technology anyways.
Tomorrow though........ I'll have nothing but kick ass pictures! So there!
I can now also rig it up on my helmet. My current setup should work mostly. I've been using a T-70 body with a 24mm lens so I will probably not have to really modify anything. I will have to make a new bite switch end though, the D-Rebel has a different remote shutter port. Time for a trip to Radio Shack.
