The jumps went great. Got 6 lifts in all. The winds on the DZ were questionable on our last drop and I took a digger and got dragged for a while, but that's what the man pays me to do, so, hoo ya...

Depending on what kind of jump we're doing, we usually pull at 3500. You have to remember, we're not sporting, we're trying to get 16 guys with 200lbs of gear to all land within a couple hundred yards of each other with huge, sluggish, slow canopies. We usually jump at 13000 because that's where our 02 regulations start kicking in. We have jumped from over 29,000 before, but it takes a LOT of working up to, and a lot of time sitting there pre-breathing oxygen - like 4 hours sucking on a tube - to purge all your residual nitrogen from your body so you don't black out. It's some scary shit. When the ramp goes down at that altitude, and you get a good panoramic view, you can see the curvature of the earth.
We can also pull high right after exit, everyone on O2, stack on the low man that has a compass/gps and use the winds upstairs to push us many, many miles. It's tricky, and sometimes, even requires a bit of luck, but it works well when you can't get an aircraft near the desired landing zone.

Oh, and in answer to your question up there, I think, perhaps a bit of both.
People who park in handicapped spaces that aren't handicapped: I don't have a problem with. Maybe they didn't see the paint or didn't see the sign... Whatever...
My problem is: When handicapped people park in the fucking healthy people spots... What the fuck? They know they're handicapped, right? They have the tag and everything...

nothing delights me more to read about the handicapped parking skew-whiff. as it is a kind of fuck off to society who generally treat them like 3rd class citizens. note "generally".
i am neurologically untypical (h/c) and have to deal with fucking strangers laughing at me just because i walk in a slightly unorthodox fashion. so basically those that park like that do it deliberately to wind the general unhandicapped public up. hee hee it's working

Hey man, Make-over's stalled 'til I can get in for a haircut (Thursday). Decided to go with short/spikey. I'm not bold enough to carry off bald.
