Too many threads at once

Man, 2017 has been such an incredibly stressful year. From beginning to end, it's been non-stop, action packed, busy busy busy. Winter was a little slow work wise, but it was really cold, so I couldn't really get out there much. I own a construction business, where we do exterior systems such as vinyl siding and aluminum trim.

When the spring hit, things picked up instantly. I started working 7 days a week and only taking days off for rain and the occasional outing. The amount of houses we have been doing this year is absolutely crazy! I'd have to do look at my invoices to tell you, but I lost count around 230 houses. At this point, we're probably closer to 500.

I also started writing a book. I don't really know what type of book it will become, whether that's a novel, graphic novel, full on book, who knows. The story is in the same vein as a comic super heroine in which the main character is forced into a disastrous situation, gains abilities, and begins to fight back. At which point, others like herself begin to pop up and either challenge her or join her in her quest to stop a world changing event from happening.

During this time, I also met a girl, dated said girl, got dumped by the girl and the girl started dating some dude 2 days later. Cool. That was a huge waste of time. I mean, there's a lot more to the whole thing but none of it had to do with me, except the severance. On the flip side, I may have found another who is doesn't seem like a waste of time just yet! Good news for me hopefully!

Come the beginning of summer, I started writing an album as well. I have no idea how to pinpoint which genre it may be, but I can tell you it's metal, and it's melodic. The unfortunate part is, working 7 days a week, writing music, a book, and trying to make time to just relax, really makes the process of all these things a lot longer. One song could take a couple days, for me, 3 or 4 weeks. Here's to hoping it comes out sometime soon!

Now that winter is here again, I miss summer. The blistering heat here in southern Ontario, Canada, can get pretty unbearable. However, the winter cold always gets to me more. I can't stand cold weather. Sometimes I feel like the only non-Canadian, Canadian! It's just not for me.

Things are slowing down again, income is dropping slightly, christmas is sucking up all my money, and time. However, it also gives me some time to reflect on the year and do some more relaxing than usual. There's a lot to look forward to in the new year and I'd really like to get on with it. Anyone know how to fast forward winter?
