TODAY IS THE DAY
confined in a body picked to shelter your soul,
existance is the key and your main goal.
I am me, and you are you,
but hidden inside is our actual being, waiting to break through.
shit, today is one of those days I don't think I can take,
instead it is a day I will embrace and make.
evaporate the goal of just to be and exist,
instead set your sights on a life, how could you resist?
we can keep trying to jump over the things we have to do,
instead take the bull by the horns, and walk on through.
shit, today is a day that I don't feel to smile.
instead its the day where I will laugh and go an extra mile.
another distraction tries to turn the direction of my route ,
I push and I shove ,
showing it just what I really am about.
shit, today is the day I don't feel like rolling out of bed,
instead I will jump and make sure I am one step ahead.
unrehersed I take my place on center stage.
giving myself my own show, my own name and age .
I beat down the door tht keeps my locked up inside .
now I spread my wings as far as they can,
take that first step and allow myself to glide.
