Quick update: I got my piercing. I ended up going with a ring on the lower left corner of my lip. It's awesome! 
I also finally got my hair cut colored. So it's almost black with some purple around the front. I love purple so I love it now. Oh, I have also quit smoking completely. I have not had a cigarette in 43 days!!
