I do not consider myself to be very materialistic, even though I have tons of crap. What I mean is there is not much stuff that I want anymore. Chances are if I wanted it, I probably have it. That sounds really spoiled, but true. On the other hand, if I still want it, chances are it is too expensive for me to have right now.

Cosmetic surgery would be nice, but that starts in the quadruple digits, for the stuff I want done, anyway. I don't know if I would feel right about paying that much money for something I would have to replace (and pay for) every 8 or so years. There is also the chance of severely messing my shit up, too.

For years, I have been talking about wanting to DJ. I have been making mix CD's since 2001 (when I got my own computer) I want to actually start beat matching, making continuous mixes and possibly perform. DJ CD decks are pretty expensive for the crossfading capabilities, cuing and other nifty techno stuff. Of course, I wouldn't be DJing trance or anything cheezy like that wink

I have DJ software but untill I have something more mobile like a laptop, that would be worthless exept for practicing .... Does anyone DJ, around these parts. There might be a group I can join, but please do not make fun of the n00b!

sin:
for questions about electronic music production on a computer you can IM my boyfriend, Halley on AIM at the screen name OptimoFulOKB. you can also e-mail him at spanime@japan.com
he should be able to help you.
if he can't, you can go to nola dnb dot com i'm sure they could halp you with any questions about turntables.
if you can make it to new orleans (which would be way rad!) i'm sure you could play at Bassbin Safari. it's a free (before 10) drum and bass show. it's neat, the people are cool.
