Miso Hungry!

So, whilst munching on overpriced Caeser sald at lunch trying to sparingly use dressing. I looked at the sugar containers and mused about how cool it was that they contained Splenda(tm) the not so nasty aftertasting sugar substitute. Then I thought about how cool it would be to have Diet Cherry Coke as a drink option. That stuff is like liquid crack because it actually tastes like Cherry Coke, to me the aspartame is hardly noticable.

Anywho, the thought occured to me that the place would have to draw in the type of crowd who are somewhat diet conciensous to create the demand for such beverage. Ding, little christmas lights representing thought flooded my overtaxed brain. What about a deli/fast food joint that promoted food for the "health nut" crowd? In theory, the idea has potential to make beacoup bucks, but in practice, not so much. For starters, I would want to make it fair for whatever stupid health fad that you chose whether it be overly complicated Weight Watchers or retardo heart attack causing Atkins diet. The main problem is with contracts, I am pretty sure that if an establishment wishes to use trademarks like that, it must become exclusive in dealing with those diet places. However, the diets are still dumb and fattening junk food should not have the monopoly on convenience when choosing a place to eat.

McDonalds is getting better with their adult happy meals and eliminating super sizes. However, I think it is just too little, too late. That corporation help create a shit-storm epedemic of obesity in this country that kills more people than smoking. The government should make these people do like tobacco companies and force them to fund things like fitness awareness and nutritional information out the wazoo. Hell, there should be a warning label on everything over a certain percentage of saturated fat.

But, that's just my opinion, I could be wrong.

i dont think its McDonalds fault that so many people got fat. i think it is the parents responsibility to instill good eating habits in infancy and childhood. but todays parents are more worried about making money in our capitalistic society that we are neglecting our children. rather than cook a good nutritious meal for our children we take them to McDonalds cause it is an easy way to feed your family. on another note i have not heard the word "nutritious" one time in the latest diet crazes. IMO i think we are stupid fat people who would like to blame something else rather than our own weak self control
