Tough times don't last however, tough people do... I believe this and I feel this... Being defined as tough doesn't mean that you don't take bullshit or you're mean spirited... It doesn't mean that you're a force to be reckoned with.. I think there are so many obstacles that are thrown into our lives that we overcome that make us survivors and fighters... It's having the heart to go on even if your heart feels as if's not really beating... It's not knowing the correct answers but moving forward because you know that if you continue to look in the past your not going to move forward.. It's being scared as hell but knowing that if you decide to travel down that path that has no obstacles or very few at all, it probably isn't leading you anywhere... It's about taking risks, living life, loving another person if only briefly, believing in yourself and what you have to offer, following your dreams and still dreaming in color... It's about realizing that fear is the thief of dreams... Ive never wanted an easier life.. I just hoped that I could come out as a stronger person....
I believe in extending a hand when someone else is in trouble... Showing them kindness even if it's in simple words... Seeing the courage it takes to deal with the issues and trouble... It can be exhausting having people tell me that being kind and genuine makes me a doormat... Yes there are times in my life that I give too much and I need to pull back.. However, I would rather know that I walk away at the end of the day feeling good about what I've done as opposed to feeling guilty for not giving what I could of myself... If that makes any sense at all....
Buddha sums it up beautifully... "Be where you are-otherwise you will miss your life." I want to live in the moment and breath in everything around me...
