Today is all about getting the house clean and making some yummy treats for our friends who are coming down from Battleground. Got the kitchen all spotless, so now it's time to start on the cheesecake (which really isn't a cake at all, but a pie) and homemade hamburger buns. Yummy dinners coming tonight.
Really looking forward to having some company today. It gets a little lonely living so far from all our friends. We get in visits with the semi-local Washington folk twice a month, but the in between times could use some closer friends. Really hoping that between the kids starting school, and me either starting a part time job or starting school, I'll make a few friends here in town.
Need to stop by the community college the beginning of next month and see about starting a class or two. Don't want to fall out of the habit of being a student. Gotta keep the rhythm going so I can make sure I get into OSU next year.
OK, time to fold some laundry and do some vacuuming. Oh yeah, and clean the bathroom.

And yes, the cheesecake was nummy, although it went a little wonky and grainy this time. We have to practice making it a few more times to get it perfect. Hamburgers were awesomely delicious though. I'm one of those girls who likes to season my meat before I make patties. It really makes a HUGE difference. All in all, dinner was a slamming success.
Even the picky kid likes my burgers. We surprise his mom every time they come over for dinner, he eats whatever we cook and likes it. At home they can't even get him to try stuff! Must be our mad cooking skill!
