It might be raining today but I'm still smiling!!!! Been smiling like a lunatic since Thur evening. Why one may ask???? For nearly three years I've been involved in a proposal at work that has finally, finally come to an end and my company won the job. Now the real work can begin. This was a major win for my company and I've got fantastic job security for the next 5 years. Talk about a 500 pound gorilla off my back!!!! The beginning stages of this proposal started in the fall of 2007, consumed my life for the better part of 2008 (~9 weeks down in Austin TX on and off), lots of major headaches in 2009, with some more in 2010.... and now I'm all smiles!!!!!!!!!! At least for a few days.

And on a different note, I think I've finally settled on what I'm gonna do about the ink on my back. My first two tats have been in serious need of fixing for a really long time now. Years of fun in the sun have taken their toll. A good buddy of mine does great work and we've been talking for a couple of years now about me sitting down with him to figure something out. It came to me last week what I'd like to do. Now I need to do some sketching of some of my thoughts so we can get together and figure out the game plan. Want to wait until the fall before I go under the needle as to not make the same mistakes of the past.
