not that any one reads this...... but need to work on getting these sad feelings out, know that I'll probably be writing some new music later this eve but at least this is a start. I found out this morning that a friend of mine passed away yesterday morning. I've known Jack since '98 when I started "working for the man" back home. Jack moved to NJ a year or so later and ended up talking me into moving up here about a year later where I worked for Jack for nearly 4 years. Even after moving on to bigger and better things Jack and I kept in touch.... meeting for a drink from time to time and seeing each other at industry socials and what not. We were both the "Good Ole Boys From St. Mary's county" up here in Jerz. Hell, I had just run into him a few weeks ago down in AC at a trade show and now he's no longer with us.
Jack was one of those guys that no matter what was going on would take a moment to ask how your day was going and could always put a positive spin on a bad situataion. We were some of the few smokers in the office and could always be found out behind the office sipping coffee, smoking Camel Lights (which we both smoked) and BSing. Just find it so hard to believe that I'm not gonna see that goofy smile of his ever again.
No going out for me this evening. No sad music either... the last thing Jack would want is for me to sit around feeling like this all night!
