Yea!!!! Holiday weekend is upon us!!!! Nice and sunny here at the beach, will be getting down there here in a bit.

Going to see The Black Crowes this evening at the Stone Pony!!!!!!!! Gonna be such a great show. The Pony has this really cool outside stage which is amazing for such a small venue.

Another night in a hotel..... another day of meetings that really don't matter but hey, it could always be a lot worse!!!!!! And SG keeping me on the sane side of things smile

Sunday mornings are always so nice here at the beach. Especially when it is a bit cloudy, which keeps the tourists at bay a bit. A week to go until "Local Summer" kicks in..... the weather is still nice but no crowds. I'll be able to put a lot of my favorite restaurants and bars back on the rotation.

what a nice dark rainy day, i should still be sleeping but the pup dawg got me up to go out nice and early. oh well, at least i'm not sleeping the day away.

and holy crap, i won the megamillions.... well $2, but that's cool!

Went to Yanks - Sox last night with my daughter. They played the whole game through a steady rain. Sox lost 5-2 in 10 innings.

Oh what a busy day at the office!!! So glad to finally be home and relaxing a bit.

Hurricane Bill is doing it's thing out in the Atlantic this evening. They are calling for huge swell this weekend, which we really don't see often here in dirty Jerz. Had Sake for the first time last night! Yeah, I know kinda strange that I could go all these years without having tried it. Went to Japanese hibachi with the girle & another couple last night and they were all about it. Miss C and I both had never had it so why not. I went to a local park for a festival with two women friends today. The weather was great. I hope you got some sun.

If I had the same experience I wrote about now, i'd able to deal with it much better. The incident came when I was still feeling like I didn't fit in on this site.

So my heart goes out to MCA of the Beastie Boys! Was going to see them play this coming Friday at the All Points West Fest in Jerz City. However, MCA has cancer so all their shows are canceled. Dicking around with Ticketmaster trying to get my money back, have no desire to see Jay-Z or any of the other bands playing that day.

I didn't know about MCA. I've been pretty much out of the loop music-wise. I've always had a liking for rap, especially old school. Some of my favorite songs are rap songs. For example, Humpty
Dance, by Digital Underground, Bust a Move, by Young MC, New Jack Hustler, (my second favorite), by Ice T, and by far my favorite rap song and one of my favorite songs of any genre, is, The Message, by Grand Master Flash.

Most people are surprised that a 60 something guy has this kind of taste in music.

My daughters' friends all used to say that my girls had the coolest dad. I think that some rap is offensive. Unfortunately, most people my age smear all rap with a closed mind. I choose to have an open mind and judge each song on its own merits.
