soulclapping

So my housemate is like Duke of the House...in that it's his lease and he makes all the rules and runs things. For the most part....it's fine.....he and I get along, but recently he decided the new rule in the house was no meat-cooking at all. So this is fine for me since I don't eat meat....but I got really unnerved by how executively he decided this and how when I said.....well...this only affects two of our housemates....he said: it's fine...I will let them know about the changes and then they'll have a month to decide whether they stay or not. Essentially he is being reasonably unreasonable....or vice versa.

So today I decided to mow the yard....which involved weedeating the whole thing and then remowing it with the mower....as it's the first time we've done it this year. It's a small yard, but it's a manual reel mower so it wasn't a small task. And he thanked me for it....but then he made a point to criticize every element of it that I did differently from how he would have and also referred to it as trimming the yard.

I am worried now that this is slowly winding down....I have a friend moving into town soon and it wouldn't surprise me if I were living with him instead by the end of the summer.
