I have been feeling sick for a few days from the seasonal onslaught of allergies all hitting me Saturday night. It's manageable and fine. Tonight though I was feeling a little feverish...and I was eating dinner with my friend and his 2 year old daughter who loves me to death.
She and I were playing and she looked at me at one point when I wasn't paying attention....looked at her dad....then looked at me and said: "I don't feel well."
And her dad says to her: "Why not?"
"Because J---- is sad...." And frowns.
And I feel a smile well up from my toes all the way to my hair and I give her the biggest and most honest smile I have felt in weeks and then dive in a raspberry (zerbit) her belly.
