i stayed up last night playing balderdash after work with some folks. we were waiting for the supposed 8 inches of snow, but by the time i left at 2 am it was merely drizzling. drank beers on my time card, which makes it quite easy to do.
ended up waking up around noon today.
finally mozied on down to the coffee shop to work on this giant thesis paper i'm struggling through all semester. spent several hours drinking coffee and staring at different articles, writing a paragraph here, talking to somebody, going back to the paper, etc. til finally i had to get out of there.
thank god for my metals class. it's a wonderful escape from reality to head over to the forge room and work some steel for several hours. i ended up with a double plant hanger that somewhat resembles longhorns.
it really is a lifesaver.
yesterday i was down and out, in a fog, and i went and just banged on metal for three hours till my arms hurt. really gets yr mind off of things.
we are looking at a whole week of cold rainyness. how much longer till spring?
how much longer till i'm out of boone?
