The way things are going, I don't think I will be here much longer.

I came partly looking for some general camaderie, partly looking to learn what I could about the style of shooting photos here, and in part to try to hook up with people local to my area, or near enough, who were interested in creating some great images.

Although I've met some cool people here, and so satisfied the first part of what I was after, those who have been within reach geographically have been -- I don't know what. I mean, it's not like anyone owed me anything, but when someone (I'm thinking of someone in particular from Lemoore at this point) keeps saying they want to shoot a set, but then never follows through, you get a little tired of it. And...

...meh. I can get that from Model Mayhem for free.

So, lately, I've been shooting bands, or things for myself that won't fit well with SG, and I will be looking for another board where I can hopefully hook up with some locals. Some of those prints, at least, are selling.

Meanwhile, a taste of what I've been shooting -- who knows? Maybe someone will view my work, and change my mind about whether this is a good place for establishing longer term contacts.



That photo, by the way, was shot in near-darkness, as the sun was setting behind the band.
