So on a trip to the san juans a few weeks back, we had stopped to eat at this little boardwalk cafe on Orcas island while we waited for the ferry, after looking at all the other little shops and finding nothing appetizing, including this place.
See, this was April 1st. It turned out the ferry schedule I had expired on March 31, so all the times were different, which just served to increase my general state of pissed-offness that day. The cafe was also the worst lunch I've had in a very long time, both because of the food, the service, and the fact that I was already in a shitty mood.
I tried to pay with my credit card, which they struggled with for about 3 minutes, muttering about how they were having problems with their credit card processing. I finally said forget it, I'll pay cash, which I did. Well, got my credit card statement today and notice that the charge did go through.
Just called them to get that reversed, which they will hopefully be able to handle, but frankly, I question their competence.
