What a week, and mostly in a good way.

Work has been hectic. I'll be going in tomorrow, mostly because I asked other people to volunteer to, and so I can buy them lunch and snacks. Definitely want to get out of this mode of crunch time at the end of projects, but it's a gradual process to change old patterns so deeply rooted in this industry. I'm absolutely thrilled to be working with such a great team of people that are willing to put in a little extra time to make what we're doing a success. Sounds like corporate rah-rah morale BS, but it's true. I walked out of the office today with a smile on my face that makes the people I walk past on the street start to smile too; I love those days.

Things with the girl are slowly progressing into a budding relationship. We have managed to talk on the phone every other day, and I'm generally not a phone person. Slightly bummed I don't get to spend time with her until next weekend, but busy and conflicting schedules will do that.

Life is just really freaking funny at times.
