I love the rain. I get an ear to ear grin walking in the rain. Everyone else is head down shoulders scrunched hiding under a hat or umbrella. Me, I walk around smiling like an idiot. Makes me happy. biggrin

that made *me* smile. i love rain too. the only time i get annoyed by it is if i'm driving on the highways and the other drivers start acting ridiculous.

Tiring day. Helped a friend rip up old carpet and pergo, and tear down old wood paneling. Yeah, on a 90 degree day.

Also tried miracle fruit, which really is the strangest stuff. Particularly with vinegar where it tastes sweet like candy on your tongue, and it isn't until you swallow that you get all of the bitter when it hits the back of your...

I am absolutely all for cyclists sharing the road, on the simple condition that they follow the same traffic laws. Critical Mass and incidents like this give cyclists a seriously negative image.

I hate trying to shop for a sofa (or any sort of furniture). I'm inevitably going to wind up with something either stylish and uncomfortable or comfortable and ugly. And spend a lot of money in either case. Or go to Ikea and get semi-comfortable and the middle stepchild between stylish and ugly.

In other words, yeah, not a lot of excitement here.

I don't like vacations because they never seem to go quite right. It's as if all that good karma also decides to take a holiday. Take this one for instance, where I spent a few days doing some camping and snowboarding, then visiting my dad. I was just heading for home, and took a turn into a parking lot a little too quick and scrapped...

I bought a fedora, which is totally sweet. It's attracted praise twice from really cute girls in the two times that I've worn it so far. Must be the Indiana Jones thing.

It's about f'ing time!

I can't believe this primary has dragged on so long. I hesitate to think it's over just yet until Clinton officially concedes. It's telling that the majority of people with college education support Obama, and the uneducated rally behind Clinton. Somehow she's managed to dupe the lower economic side of the working class into the notion that she's one of them,...

Some asshole dropped a soda on my windshield from the burke gilman trail bridge under I-5. Unfortunately, he also didn't have the decency to stick around long enough for me to pull over to find him and beat the crap out of him. mad

Karma of course is a bitch that I'm sure will catch up with this idiot. So, if you happen to run into...

It doesn't matter how old you are, Legos are cool.

I went to Bellevue Square for the first time in probably 15 years today to check out a store that I heard has some nice cloths, but was closing and marking everything 50% off. They didn't really have anything I wanted, so I wandered around for a bit, got an Orange Julius or old times...

I guess it's been a little while, so here are some happenings:

1. The Democratic District Caucus was definitely something. I figured out that 5 hours of democracy a day is pretty much all I can tolerate. (The whole thing apparently ran for 8 hours.) Anyway, it was 52 delegates for Obama and 15 for Clinton to the state level from my district.

2. I...
