WHOO!
So, I just went to my parents' new neighbor's birthday and house warming party. It was a blast! She is one cool, fun lady!
We had snacks, and drinks, and since it's this really cool old house that she is fixing up, she had signs put up all over the house describing her ideas. And there was karaoke. sooo fun.
I had a little to drink, but there were a couple of people who were quite sluiced, But I sang a bunch of songs, some just me, or me and my sis, and some with a whole crowd of people. By the end everyone was singing. Apparantly, there had really mainly been one guy singing and he was trying to sing "Where is the Love" by I think the Black Eyed Peas...(???) anywho, he was having trouble remembering it all and singing it, and I walked up singing along cuz i know it and like it, and he suddenly turns to me, and says"you know it, here sing it" and handed me the mic to finish the song. After that everyone chanted for me to keep singing cuz they liked the way I sang and wanted someone new. From there it just got more and more people involved. I was awesome.
Suzanna who lives there. plays accordian, and there were a couple of guys who played guitar, and they'd play along everynow and then. They played when i sang "Thank You" by Dido, and it was so cool, cuz it really added a whole new level to it. As ridiculous as that sounds.
I went along with my dad just to be nice and say hi, because she sounded like a nice lady and I liked the invitation. I hadn't been feeling well all day, and didn't think I would even stay long, and I got there and everyone was so nice, and there was such good energy everywhere that it was like awesome meds! I just felt loads better and had such a blast!
Next: a Michael Jackson sing-a-long party, courtesy of the DVD from Alamo Drafthouse. (and we're talking old school, cool Mike, long before he went weird...) I look forward to it greatly.
(p.s. I had some margarita, but didn't want it too strong at first, but i mixed their margarita with sprite, and it was good. you should try it some time. I think it kind of made it more dangerous, because you can just drink it down without realizing, and drink more than you mean to. but pshh, it was fun. ^_~)

By the way, I watched High Fidelity because I remembered that I promised my friend that I would watch the Iron Giant with him next time he has 'shrooms haha so I decided to wait on that one.
