Right!! This blog comes super super suuuuper late because, well... I guess i'm just terrible at writing. I'll try not to drag on too much!
So, SG Land, you probably never even knew I went to Barbados! Well i did! And I had the most wonderful time!
It really was like a post-card, everything about this country is beautiful. I was super lucky, and this was such a last min trip.
My grandfather (on my dad's side) came from this wonderful, colourful magical place. It was so amazing to see where he came from, and also very humbling. Unfortunately we weren't able to get into contact with my relatives still living here- but i still had an amazing time.
It was sooooo warm- just the way i like it! 34*c which meant perfect weather for laying around on the beach, in the sunshine reading a book, drinking cocktails, swimming in the sea. My goodness- The sea! i have never in my life seen the sea so blue before! It was just unreal! Photos really don't do any justice!
Seriously though- if you ever get the chance, you much go to this country! People are sooo friendly, it was strange at first. People here in England don't really talk to strangers- especially the town i come from. It was so refreshing, and the local people were welcoming, and willing to help with literally anything. The sense of community was heartwarming. I was invited to spend the afternoon watching a tennis tournament- so that was exactly what i did! I sat, ate and drank with the most kindest of people. We laughed, talked and watched the tennis.
One thing i never knew about Barbados was how green it was there. It really surprised me. To be honest, for some reason, i had in my head that it was a very dry and sandy place, i had no idea how wrong i was!
Any how, i hope you enjoyed these pictures! I do have more, but i can't quite figure out how to get them on my computer for now... i will upload them... eventually... i promise... to try... haha
What are your travel plans for 2018? i need ideas! i have the holiday bug! haha
For now though, i have plenty of blogs from @missy & @rambo to catch up on!
