dashwood_one:
Hope it didn't scar - I burnt my finger with a glue gun in 1989, and the scar is still visible. That glue melts at about 400Β°C, which is why burns from it, even little ones, hurt like hell. xxxxx

I realised I never blogged about hyper Japan! Sorryyyy!!!!
My sister got tickets for her birthday, and she asked me to go along... Me and my sister are very close, and I love spending time with her geeking out about things most of my friends don't get. It's like our thing we can bond over βΊοΈ
So this will probably be more of a photo...

I really did have so much fun @jezzied ! The Titan head was a bit scary- it'd blow steam whenever someone stood next to it! I'm looking forward to the movie! I hope they do it justice π

Pretty castles are a part of Warhammer, but I've always been more taken with the huge dragons and armies of rampaging orcs myself. π I'd love to have the time - and money - to devote to miniature collecting and painting, but... not yet. π Some students at our place have brought in their armies and I've always been impressed with their painting. It's a very rewarding hobby, that's for sure.

Before my eyesight declined, I used to collect and paint Warhammer figures. I used to get them from a shop run by a couple of guys, obviously gamers, who would actually get annoyed if you went to buy figures from non-compatible games. I didn't, and still don't, play games, but simply liked painting the figures, and setting them in little dioramas. It was amusing to go to the counter, and watch the guy there look at the figures, shake his head, and then say something like: "You can't have Space Marines, Pirates and Ents together". He just could not see why I'd do such a thing. When I told him that I did not play any games, but just collected the very cool figures, he blanked me, and basically barred me from the shop. A very odd person. His shop isn't there now. Β I hope you enjoy painting your figures.
