What is success? If I compare myself to school friends I have achieved so much. If I compare to people I went to university with probably upper middle. However if I compare to my own standards I am a failure.
As each year passes the goal post moves. When my Grandma was alive I just wanted to make her proud and seeing her face is what made me believe I was worth something. Now she is gone I am stuck, unable to congratulate my own achievements and constantly hating myself for not achieving more.
Should I be in a different industry? Heaven knows im not too good at networking. i only like talking 'job' as thats what i live for. As I have lost so many from a childhood, which was haunted by pain, I am left with one family member - my dad.....who has a new family and lives in east africa. he doesnt really know me anymore. The universe owes me right? but its only the stupid, sleep around girls that get anywhere.

Networking is not bad just carry a few cards and when you meet someone who YOU can help tell them to contact you. When you meet someone who COULD help you get their info; follow up with an email say nice to meet you blah blah blah. Keep in contact letting them know how YOU are doing.
Hard work and proving yourself needs to include advertising yourself and your successes. Finding a cure cancer is useless if no one knew it. Sell yourself you are a great product.
