So I'm in San Salvador!
the weather is lovely and so are the people, but my mothe ris making me miserable. I hate all her stupid little games and that she's so volatile it's always like walking on eggshells with her, constantly. we haven't really seen any sights yet, as we seem to be perpetually lost, but we did go to the beach and that was pretty cool. my spanish is improving rapidly which is a pleasant surprise.
there's not a lot to see here, due to several consecutive severe earthquakes and the relatively recently ended civil war; it is also definitely the most americanized foreign country I have ever visited -- the currency is even US$. it's a bit unsettling, sad too.
I am looking forward to going to mexico city on friday, i remember really liking it there years ago -- very urban and exciting.
the only good thing about the election results (ugh) is that now my parents are for sure moving to mexico sity. sooo much better than maine. thank god...
ok, I miss you and will tell you all about my vacation when it's done in a few weeks...
