So, I've finally made a really big decision:
this will be my last month in PDX. I'm having a party on Tahoe sept 3-7(hope you can make it -- Labour Day weekend), and after that I'll go on down to SF, find a place to live, then come back here, collect my stuff, and settle in for a good 3+ year stretch. If all goes as planned this will include getting a master's from SFState and living in one place for more than a year -- something I've never done before. I am really nervous about getting all my shit together in one short month, but I can do it. I know this is the right thing to do, though I have been making weak excuses for myself for months/years. I'm over Portland, and I think i die much faster here than anywhere else. Sooooo ready to go home!
phew. I feel better now.
ps - I can "walk" w/out crutches now!!! it's really really slow and wobbly, but I can do it.

I'd have to say if I had the choice between S.F & here in Portland. I'd choose S.F too. The weather here hasn't been great until today as the clouds came in. It's just as well, as you sound like you'd feel more productive in S.F with school. It won't be easy but, nothing worth it is right?
