So I have a bunch of Art Projects ( tm) I want to do; wanna hear about a few? ok:
1. (the best one, I think) So several hundred people choose as many snapshots as possible from their personal photo collection/albums/etc. No taking new pics, and no borrowing. this is amongst friends only. meaning MY friends only, I guess. So anyway, first we line all the photos up in a huge rectangle and make a collage/poster. then each individual photo goes into an envelope labeled with my return address. a slip of paper goes in stating to the finder that these are photos of real people in pdx, urging them to do whatever they wish with the photo, and to return something with it if they send it back. Then we drop the envelopes all over downtown and wherever else is possible, parks, campuses, wherever. Next we wait a certain amount of time, and then make a second collage poster with all the photos that have been returned, with blank spots for the ones that haven't. and then... I dunno yet. but something cool, maybe a press release or something.
2. a shantytown (built overnight) filling an entire North Park Block. photographers/videographers will be present to document tthe building and inhabitation of the shantytown by our group of guerrilla artists.
3. don't feel like typing anymore...
So what do you think? ** who wants to participate?** If you live far away you can send me photos by mail and I will incorporate them. Let me know if you're interested in helping or have any cool ideas to add on...
