I've always liked the name Dashiell, though I don't have a big hard-on for Dashiell Hammett.

Tea and naptime? Sounds like my dream hideaway. What days are you around? I get off work at 3 everyday, and I'm mostly just bored or chore-ridden until Mike gets home or someone comes over. I would love to pop by. I'll bring a present. I have no idea what, but it will come to me.
aaronsrod:
I just can't stay away from this place, I miss you too much so can we be friends again pleeease, sad and fickle I know but there you go in the end for me it is about the your friendship rather than sg that keeps me here.

i had oatmeal with brown sugar, banana, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, & milk this morning. it was really satisfying. that means it's winter (well this is california, so "winter," i suppose), which makes me happy.

this season makes me dreamy & pensive and my worries float along on a chilly rippling undercurrent instead of boiling in rip tides.

1/2 cup pumpkin to every 2 cups of oatmeal. Everything else--brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, cream--is to taste. I always add chopped pecans, and sometimes I add raisins, too. I generally use Irish oats because I like the chewiness, but you can really use whatever's on hand.
So yummy!
esme:
Mmm soup! Was it pumpkin soup? I'm making squash right now; we'll see how it turns out. We actually had a dinner engagement this last Sunday with Justine and Ella (hence the not coming to eat soup even though it sounded lovely lovely) but soon I hope! Even if it isn't soup.

my favourite words today: glossy, snide, sycophantic

i don't like to talk in the morning. anything more than "good morning" really throws me off, makes me tense and irks me. i love the peaceful hopefulness of the morning (esp. now that it's still dark when i get up), and even how-are-you breaks it.
unless you are my lover and we are still in bed; but as soon as we get out of...

I concur.

BTW, did that ticket ever arrive? Just want to make sure it didn't get eaten by the USPS.
sonofmorrissey:
Cool, just making sure.

Ah lazy work-at-home day. I think I'm going to head over to 16th and Valencia in about 20 minutes and grab a sandwich and a beer...on company time. God bless America.
