I am fairly new to affirmations and I must admit once, long ago, I would've had a bit of a giggle at the idea. This changed between a mixture of a different therapist and hearing something that has stuck with me for a while...
"Your words become your reality."
When I really sat down and thought about it, it resonated with me. What we tell ourselves (internally) and others (externally) shapes how we perceive our own reality. Therefore, providing your mind with positive affirmations created a reality in which these are true.
I can't quite say I have a 'go to' affirmation as they shift and change with where I am at in my life, I would love to share my top 3.
1. My possibilities are endless.
2. I am worthy.
3. I choose my own happiness, love and kindness.
