It's official, my wife and I are homeowners! We've been going through a short-sale process to purchase this place and it's been one of the longest and biggest pains in my ass that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. And I was in the US Navy. It was all worth it in the end though. I now have my own little piece of property in this world and that feels amazing. I'm so proud that I can provide my wife and son with a very nice place to live in a great neighborhood.
