So Oregon, being the Liberal/Green state it is (Which is not a bad thing) has an agreement with the EPA. They will not put salt on the roads during snow/ice storms as it is bad for the environment. So, every year when we get "Winter Blast 2008" that lasts a week or two, the city comes to a stand still, I am going to be holed up in my house for the week because it is unsafe to drive. The funny thing is, EVERY school district has closed schools, government offices are closed, but my work opened at 10:00 am under adverse weather conditions. They can't let on dollar go. Corporate America can suck a big fat DICK.
