A few things...
First.. to skankzor... naa that wasn't me at the show. I am actually going to try to shoot at the Evens show (Ian MacKaye's new band). They are playing at a place called G-Spot on May 18th. They are a pretty good duo, a lot different from the Fugazi stuff.
So yeah... the Evens show is the 18th. It is odd to see how much Ian MacKaye has grown musically over these years. Should be a good time.
Today was my first day back at work since my triumphant return from Iraq. It wasn't really that triumphant of a return, but I can pretend right? I have noticed a few things since I got back.
1... I don't really like most of the people I am around on a daily basis, there isn't much I can do about this so it is something that I just have to suck up. 1 of my 2 friends here, left while I was gone. So I am down to one. Which is pretty fucking lame, but... that is how it is.
2.... I am already back into the trap of waking up on Monday thinking "ok... I have to make it through this week because (fill in the blank)". This weeks blank will be the Social Distortion show in Allentown, PA, this Friday night. I have taken leave for Friday, so I think I will leave DC around Noon and spend a few hours shooting whatever I see around Allentown before the show. Saturday/Sunday nights will be Cubs games. Actually, Nationals games... but I like the idea of calling them "cubs games" even more. Go Cubbies!!
3... What sucks... is that since I got back, the weather has been horrible, and today... it was so beautiful outside. Go figure huh?
Oh, my mom loved the Mothers Day card... she is so rad.
My dad says I shouldn't curse so much when I post photos and stuff because he doesn't want to show them to anyone with all the profanity in them. So I think I will refrain from using that when posting photos from here on.
Ok... Tuesday is almost here, which is one day closer to Friday.
