ok so here's my gripe for today - i'm up on tech as far as software goes but never as far as hardware goes, entirely due to lack of cash, so i'm always looking for the linux distro. which is easiest on crappy computers. in my experience this is gentoo and the related projects because portage allows you to easily compile anything to your specific needs and situation. that shit rocks. however, once i get a machine working i get overzeleous and start configurinig things beyond my means. my machines are always slowed down much more than they should be. anyway, that's what i've been doing all day. making my faster-than-it-should-be machine far slower than it need be.
so yeah. went into town today and couldn't cash the check i sort of needed so i spent the day compiling useless wigits and fucking around with fading and transparency effects. woo. hoo.
