bleh. The Boy and I have both been home sick from work the last two days with colds.

On one hand, I like not being at work and being able to watch TV and sleep all day, but I hate being sick. I've just been lounging around the house feeling like shit and eating soup.

Hopefully I make a full reovery in time for my day off on Monday.

The alphabet is actually very easy because it is intuitive. Some vocabulary is similar and some of the tenses have some parallels. For instance, "you" in French is "tu" in the informal and "vous" in the formal, while in Russian it is "Ты" (Tee) in the informal and "Вы" (Vee) in the formal. The languages have a lot of differences (one is Central Slavonic, the other is Romance), but the French influence (from being the language of diplomacy and the preferred language of the nobility) is clear in some cases. Knowing a decent amount of German would help similarly.

Some of the tenses are difficult though. Russian isn't an easy language.
