So, on Wednesday I had finally worked up the nerve to ask a aquanitence/co-worker if The Boy and I could shoot a set in his orchard. He not only agreed, but said that his room-mate has a good camera, and would be more than willing to take the set.

The only day we both had off was Friday, I'd had plans to have dinner with my parents, but since it was the only afternoon we all had off, I moved my plans around with the 'rents. Dude suggested that he pick us up at 1:30, after he was off work, and he'd drive us out to his orchard, his roomie would take the shots, and it'd be all done in time for me to make my parents (changed) timeframe. We talked about it after work, and then I phoned him later that night to confirm. The plan was a go.

I was SO excited. I was finally going to get to do an outdoor set. I;d have another set to send in. I'd have practice taking a set with a stranger (like I'll be doing with Oryx in December) and practice posing in the cold. I was thrilled.

Last night I got all shaved, shampooed and showered in anticipation of the set. I even went out and bought new panties just for the occasion. I planned my whole outfit down to a T. This morning The Boy and I woke up bright and early (which we NEVER do on our day off) to make sure we'd be on time for my friend. I spent forever perfecting my hair, and putting on all sorts of make-up. I practiced my poses in the mirror, anxiously anticipating 1:30. The time rolled around, and I sat, all dolled up with my outfit packed, by the door waiting for the friend.

Right now it's 3:30. The bastard didn't show up. He didn't call to back out. He just didn't show up.

So, we didn't have to wake up early on our day off. I didn't need to paint my nails, or do my make-up, or shell out my last ten bucks for lacey panties. I didn't have to inconvience my parents by changing the dinner time, or annoy The Boy by trying on all sorts of potential set outfits and poses.

I'm so mad that I got all excited and dolled up for nothing. My 'friends' always seem to stand me up. There is nothing I hate more than being stood up. I felt like such an idiot sitting on my couch in elaborate make-up waiting and waiting for someone who doesn't give a care.

And now I don't have a new set!

I'm so sad and disappointed!

That's so rude of him. I have been let down before and it feels really bad, like you say, to build yourself up for something only to realise that the other person does not care.

Orynx looks like a much better choice for you. Her photography is very good and she has experience, which will make things easier for you.

My latest journal includes some of my female nudes. I went to a studio a long time ago to learn more about photography. One of the things I learned that day is about the interaction between the photographer and hte model.

Having no experince made me slow and the model became distracted while I looked at the lighting and so on. A photographer with more experience could work at a faster pace, which is better for the model.

Good luck with shoot with Orynx.
