What a week. What a week.
I went for 68hrs with 3hrs of sleep. I could've went to sleep at 7pm yesterday, but I decided to go to a concert, party, party #2, take a walk, and play 3hrs of soccer starting at midnight.
After the 13 hours of sleep I got last night, it occured to me how I've changed since I came to college. I've always had a problem realizing the value of enjoy yourself. I suppose in a way this has been the case because I mildly enjoy a lot of things. Even a year ago, I won't have given a second thought to going home at 7 and getting a good night's sleep. I didn't hit on anyone, I didn't even try to flirt with people when I was flirted with (which surprisingly happened). I didn't try to get drunk, I didn't try to show off, brag, buddy-buddy with anyone ... i just had fun. Good clean fun in the classical, judeo-christian sense of the word.
Someone once told me about "be-ins" that happened in the 70s at ivy league unversities. Apparantly they were gatherings where people hung around, and just enjoyed the experience. I have a feeling that people who are happy when they are stressed out have an intuitive sense of why be-ins were so cool. maybe I'm starting to understand why.

I am more similar to Woody Allen than I would like to be.
next entry: why i wish my roommate would leave.
