sigh ... still haven't made much progress with my newest interest. Ran into her at a party last night (damn, it rocked) and we talked for a few hours. Strange how nothing happened, though neither of us were drinking. She's not really the hooks-up-at-a-party type though ...
there was a girl dressed as a dominatrix last night ... so so hot ... I was a blood-thirsty republican, decked out with a bush-cheney '04 sticker and bloody fangs. I was a hit; I was happy.
It looks like I'm never going to hit Fell's at Hallowen before I leave Balitmore. oh well, most people aren't too happy with it unless they are piss drunk.
I went to Diwali Dhamaaka tonight, the Hindu festival of lights. It was incredible. It was so genuine, exhuberant, and spiritual. There's something so appealing about a community experience of religion. I went to church for 17 years, but I never felt that community experience. There was something so incredible about everyone so happy dancing around. It was great to see hundreds and hundreds of people there.
I think my beliefs are beginning to change again. My staunch atheism is beginning to soften up and I am beginning to incorporate an idea of sprituality that I hadn't really considered before. Its still a pretty 'psychological' conception of spirituality. There is just a commonality across individuals that binds us a way more that just having similar physicals features. I don't consider it a 'spirit-world,' but I don't think is something of value. Maybe its akin to a justification of the sanctity of life or something. I really believe that the importance of our brains is more than physical, because they make up our conscious life. blah blah blah ... why are you reading this still?
