Leap Year episode 2 is out!
This one is guest starring Emma Caulfield, another Buffy alum. She plays the mysterious and quirky detective Smiley. Yes, her name is Smiley so now you just have to watch it, don't you?

This one was an interesting departure from our normal style. It was written by Vlad Baranovsky and when I first read it I was skeptical but I gotta say it turned out pretty great. It's a slower paced episode then the first but I really enjoy the interactions between the characters and the humorous moments.
Also getting to play with the Noir style was a blast, opted for a very desaturated look in the flashbacks and a very colorful and contrast-y look in the scenes that take place in the present.
Emma was a blast to work with and Drew shines again in this ep as Jack.
There's a particular chyron that was a royal pain in my ass to put together, which is as Aaron approaches the door, baseball bat in hand to find Lisa at the door. Had to remove a number of tracking marks from the door and it took forever to get the track right and to render out the damn thing, but I love the look.
