alright people, i am not getting enough responses in most of the catergories i was looking for... but i have gotten a lot of interest in the film section, so i have decided to change the format of the site..
the site is going to deal loosely with entertainment in general and have some art, music, and writing on there, so those of you who did show some interest can still get the free pages i promised, if you like.. but the site is now primarily going to be about the art of film.. in fact, it is going to deal with every aspect of filmmaking and film study..
i have a surprising number of film students showing interest in this idea, so i have decided that the site will offer a free education to those who have an interest in filmmaking, but couldn't otherwise get the kind of info we will provide.. i am a student of film, and so i will pass my eduction onto the visitors to the site through essays, book and film reviews, film news, interactive lessons, equipment breakdowns and explanations of techniques and suggested study material, etc.. basically, it will be packed with the information me and my fellow contributors have learned and ARE learning as we make our way through real film courses.. a lot of the professors i have met and that others interested have no doubt studied under are respected in their fields and many have published more than one book- i will get interviews with them and perhaps even persuade them to write material for the site.. this site will be a goldmine for anyone with any interest in the technical and artistic aspects of filmmaking, students more than anyone, and hopefully it will inspire a lot more people to get into the independent film industry.. we can use all the people we can get! so if you are a student in film or know anyone who is, or you are an actor, director, or have ever worked on a film crew in any capacity, TALK TO ME and i will see if your insight can be useful in the site.. SPREAD THE WORD PEOPLE.. i know there are a lot of film students in SG and film students know other film students, so let's make this happen! TELL EVERYONE!
