I try not to bring up my major or classes related to it, because when I do I am seldom met with interest and it usually ends the conversation. However I feel the need to rant if even no one will read it. Tomorrow I have a final in my programming class, the class is required by my major so that I will be able to do the calculations in future classes. However the class does not reflect this, we are taught the language, but assignments are based around yahtzee for example. That is a senseless waste of my time.
Beyond this my complaints are that labs often take around 6 or so hours to complete and that once you have programmed an hour any additional time programming does not necessarliy get you any closer to finishing. That emacs is one of the most foul things in existance, and that the compiler will only work if the code works making the debugger and other such things useless.
You can't know how much I hate that class.
