well, things have been pretty quiet around here for the last few days. we went on an urban patrol a few nights ago, which went really smoothly..... we didn't get any contact. the next few days were pretty uneventful then today i went on a trip to a different camp to go to the PX and around the same time 4 car bombs were set off around baghdad.... one of them at the opening of a water teatment plant. they closed the highway to military traffic and i was stuck at the other camp for 5 1/2 hours longer than expected. at least i got to skip a 3 hour shift in the guard tower!
