wow, i just walked outside in my PT uniform and it was kind of chilly! you know how long it's been since i felt "kind of chilly?" being from Washington, it felt damn good to be kind of chilly again. now if i can just get a mountain around here somewhere......

Yeah, SG Military's owner has gone gray - we're not sure whether or not he'll be back. If he's not, we'll be voting in a new moderator to accept new joins.

Arabic isn't as bad as I thought it'd be. Hopefully I still that way next spring in the 2nd semester...

ما is "what?" (maa)
ماء is "water" (maa')

Everyone I know has said it's hard, but I've had some Turkish, so that helps. Of course, we're moving right along - we just finished our first textbook and the class started at the end of August!

well.... i'm in Baghdad. it may sound exciting, but it isn't. the only thing i will miss about this country when i go home is the cigarette prices. at $4 a carton, i can't afford NOT to smoke!
