I needed to hear something, but I didn't know what. So I asked her, again.
"Do you think we'll ever get back together?"
"No, I don't think so," she said. "We've had our time together."
There was something very final about it. Maybe it was the way she said it, or maybe I was just finally ready to hear it. Maybe it was what I needed to hear.
I cried all the way home, but then I felt a strange feeling inside, like a new dawn coming - a new beginning.
