So I saw Ginger Snaps 2. I have to say, I was skeptical. I mean, I loved the first. Really loved it, and though I was interested to see what a continuing story would be like, I had considered the story told. The first still stands on it's own as a great horror/dark comedy/tragedy.

The second was, in fact, quite good. I was surprised. The...

So busy...

But it's good!

Watching the Iron Giant right now. Such a good film... SO good. This is what I want to raise my kids on. This and LOTR.

Congrats on the house, it sounds like you have a good one. Checked out that link, is it a new game? I am a big SWs fan, even bigger Fett fan. I will have to try to get a photo of the shirt I made when Phantom came out. I don't really play computer games, though my brother, who is also a huge SWs fan does. I will tell him about it. mad

Awesome!!

So... I'm finally done the semester. It's finally all over.... and I wouldn't care to repeat that.
So now I can relax a bit... before summer starts in MAY!

Anyhoo, a few quotes for the folks who care:

"Yeah... so, um... I'm going to need you to go ahead and come in this weekend... um, yeah..."

"Great! You killed the invisible swordsman!"

"Actually, we're rather...

Greetings. Isn't it great when the semester ends? Mine ended today and I have only 2 finals. Whoo-hoo. The only one I recognize is the first one, from "Office Space." mad

More to come soon.

I wasn't discriminating, I was making a broad generalization, a blanket statement if you will. I am far too cynical to believe
in the altruism that someone claims to purport. Again, that's just me and I am a sad little man. As for the actors and such, I don't quite follow how treating Elia Kazan with contempt at the Oscars for his past behavior is quite symetrical with my theory. I think all it shows is that they have opinions and thoughts. I remember seeing clips from that ceremony and distinctly recall seeing Ed Harris sitting scowling and Warren Beatty standing and applauding. Hey, they all have their own beliefs and more power to them. I just don't see it as a craft in the same sense that a painter or a poet has one. Maybe if they also wrote the screenplays or something...but they work in a media that does not serve a purpose unless exposed to the public. Someone who creates does not need the vox populi, they can survive, even thrive, in a more isolated environment. I believe that they achieve a certain modicum of success in spite of themselves, whereas actor cannot do the same thing. They need the approval of us hoi-poloi as we need to see them on the screen. All this being said, none of it was meant to be an attack on you, simply a discourse. For that I thank you, at least a few people had read the whole thing.
The firearm in question is an H&K USP 9mm. I couldn't find a picture of one in .40S&W, which I own. Regarding the 2nd Ammd, I try to stay away from that. I live in NY where you have a better chance of being eaten by a llama than getting a handgun permit. But I guess I feel that if you can legally jump through all the hoops and pass the required safety courses and the background check, blah, blah, blah, then you should be able to. There is too much abuse of they system, the people who go about it the proper way are penalized by the lesser of us who don't. That diminishes us all. Besides, there is too much angry rhetoric on both sides, and I am fiercly apolitical and all this stuff just makes my head hurt. mad

More quotes for those who care:

"But... but...but... you're black!"

"Toughened your nipples, didn't it? They say that when a man looses a leg, the phantom leg sometimes itches. Tell me senator... when your child is on the slab, where will it tickle you?"

"You do not, by chance, have six fingers on your right hand?"

"You must take your place in the great cycle...

"Game over, man! Game over! What the fuck are we going to do now? What are we going to do?"

Thank you for your comments on my set and journal while I was in Brazil.

Number 4 is the easiest one, its from "Full Metal Jacket." I don't know movies as well as you but the ones I do know I know very well. This is the scene were they are looking at the dead in the pit as they are being covered with lime and the colonel is commenting on Pvt. Joker's peace symbol/Born to Kill. The rest, well, I don't know.
