Thought for the day:

I think we could all benefit from the words of Atticus Finch: "It's not time to worry yet."
freaky_tiki:
yeah...*hangs head in shame*...it is Eminem. Likittysplit, MC Cheddah Rob, and I went to go see 8 mile last weekend. It was so funny...we all decided to become something from the movie...Likitty didn't have to change her name because that was one of the rappers in the movie, Throatneedle changed his name to MC Cheddah Rob...again a guy in the movie, and I became Chin Tiki...the club they hang out at in the movie. Guess you had to be at the theater with us to grasp how hilarious it all was to us at the time. And I love Moby too! *SMOOCH*
gwen1:
To Kill a Mokingbird is such a great book, and the movie was pretty good too.

I was just going to kill time till grad school... but I'm killing my feet instead. Thanks for all the B-day wishes everyone, that was very sweet. More people in the virtual world noticed than the real one, but...

Happy B day to me. I got my present from my girl today. It's so wonderful, such a great contribution to my collection, I thought I'd post the webpage, so you can all see how great it is... and what a freak I am.

Thought for the day:

I borrowed a shirt from a female friend of mine tonight. It was a man's shirt that she bought for herself, so it fit me (barely). So, for the rest of the evening, I smell like a girl. Now that shirt was hanging up, I saw her take it out of her closet, so it was clean. Do you chicks spray...

Ha Ha...I'm just laughing because all of my clothes have a scent on them....not the fresh from the dryer smell either...let me explain. I have a tendency to try on several articles of clothing before coming to a decision, this is a normal everyday occurance for me. I might be just about to leave the house and in that split second before I grab the door knob...I turn face and head straight back to the closet and change one last time. So even though my clothes that are left behind are clean...they have been exposed to whatever scent I was wearing that day. My ex even used to like to borrow some of my jewelry because he said he could smell my perfume on it. xoxoxo

Thought for the day:

I love horror movies. I'm not a connoisseur of them, but I'm definitely a fan. I went and saw The Ring tonight, and boy was I pleased. I've seen enough horror films that the cheap scares don't get me. I can see them coming, and I swear I called every time the TV turned on in the movie. The Ring does...

I bet you love this time of the year then, huh? All the classic horror movies are plastered all over the TV. I've got to go see the Ring..I have never been scared by a movie though...real life is way too frightening. wink

Thought for the day:

So, if you went back in time, and killed your mother when she was three, what would happen? Well, your mother wouldn't live to have you. So you wouldn't exist. So you couldn't go back in time and kill your mother. So you would exist. So you would kill her. So then you wouldn't exist... Who knows what would happen? The...

Thanks for the advice, you're probably write, but I'm just a wimp. I'll try to muster up the courage though.

That's a nice thought for the day, important problem when considering time travel. There seems to be alot of contradictions in it. Whats the whole concept of time travel based upon anyways? Relativity? String theory? I think I should shut up now because I don't know what I'm talking about.. I still need to read A Brief History of Time that's been collecting dust up on my bookshelf for almost a year.
freaky_tiki:
Time travel huh? I wish I could go back in time and be there with all the people I know who have passed. I feel like I let them down by not being there with them...the guilt ways heavy. I'd also like to go back in time and have the courage to kiss that boy in high school I was madly in love with, just once. smile

and yeah...I think I am that boring, but if you don't, then I shall get rid of it.

Thought for the day:

I think I came up with the real answer to my previous question... you know, about why naked women appear in both men's and women's magazines. Women are just better looking, more pleasing to look at, then men.

kinnie:
haha... well there goes any political feminist theory on the matter.
And yeah, I agree with you... women are generally more interesting to look at... even my straight friends are always checkin' out other girls. I think there's just a wider variety of accepted clothes and hairstyles.
And girls bodies... mmm... gotta love all the curves. But there are really nice lookin' guys too. Damn, why can't naked Rufus Wainwright be on all the magazine covers?!
Then the world would be happy.
jasiri:
damn...we all need to have a round table of dialogue!!! solimond, i have to say i love the way your mind thinks (and this is not a completely biased statement due to the fact that i am a woman who appreciates a fine looking woman wink ) oh, and by the way, to add to your above continued thought...perhaps it is actually society who has been trained to appreciate the form of a woman over a man because traditionally it has been the woman that has been sexified in our western culture...i mean, hell...if we were living in the romantic era, roman era, etc. it was not the female form that was raised above the male...

oh, and ditto! you're a doll too!

Thought for the day:

Do NOT go see the Rules of Acquisition. It is NOT a comedy, as it it being billed. It starts off with a rape scene. Don't know how it ends, I left during the incredibly graphic suicide scene (a little too close to home, thank you)...

Thought for the day:

I feel sadness for the children of today. Not because of the current state of affairs in this country, though that is a concern. No, I think of the current state of afternoon cartoons, and rememer how good we had it (that's we: between the ages of 22 - 30). I mean, we had the greats... Remember that block? Thundercats, then...

Attacks up wind and stinks of garlic? Hmm, you're not talking about ME, are you? wink
And haha, I know, so many cartoons these days seem like fluff. It's all anime-y and strangely sexual. Or maybe that's just me. I don't think I was part of the "testosterone-filled action cartoon" generation though. I preferred like... Inspector Gadget and Gnomes and stuff.

Thought for the day:

You know, I might have been able to live with the bad dialogue, the trite characters, the modern music. All of this I could deal with in A Knights Tale... all but "Geoff Chaucer." Geoff? GEOFF? Jeez...

kinnie:
hahah, Geoff? That's bad.
jasiri:
no kidding...i just call him 'getoff'....(alright, i've never referred that character before now...that was a blatant lie)...

oh, and i see....you claim to only speak english, and yet you write to me in french...you are tre bien!!!! wink biggrin
