I have come full circle. Here are some journal entries from last year (almost to the day) that mean more to me now than they did a year ago:

Monday March 10th 2003:
The Intuitionist, Moral Direction, and Separation of Ideals

I am a conundrum. I recognize that what is best for me is different from what is best for another. In particular I see a sphere of influence that becomes stronger as it closes in on me. What others do far away from me is less important than those that are close, physically, emotionally, mentally.

This is different from ego, more acute and more about others, while remaining explicitly me. My view of both sides, understanding that because one answer is wrong doesn't make the other answer right.

The end of it,

I'm busy, but not too busy to enjoy myself. music is good today. i'm getting my warm-month burn that begins when i start driving with the top down. soon i'll have a really brown left arm and sunglasses rings around my eyes. if i stay sane today i will have had a great day. in fact it may be great even if i'm not sane at the end of it
