Eeek what a long and tiring day. I moved departments a few weeks ago and I'm up to my tits in work. Probably going to have to go in tomorrow as well. But the overtime is most welcome. Gotta go buy more air tickets soon! I'm planning a long holiday in Germany later in the summer.

I'm exceedingly skint this week, which is why the following surprises were really nice!
#1 My friend who works just round the corner from me emailled me at work and asked if she could treat me to lunch. YAY! In an all-you-can-eat Chinese restaurant! Cue spare rib FRENZY. Had to roll back to work due to the immense number of yummy spare ribs consumed.
#2 My doorbell went quite late on Monday night. Because this is Trainspotting land, I don't usually bother to answer the door late on in case it's some loony, or worse still, election canvassers. But the bell went again and I had a feeling that there might actually be someone there that I would like to see. So sure enough, 'twas my pal Max from London, who was in town on a business trip and thought he'd drop by as we haven't seen each other in 2 years! YAY! Cue breaking out the wine and fags. It was great.

Spoke to Deutsche Boy last night for 2 hours and subsequently dreamt in German. Weird. It's tiring dreaming in foreign. Woke up and realised I hadn't a clue what I'd been on about in my dream. But it involved underwear shopping.

Now I ought to be working hard on my language stuff, but I'm pretty tired. Hmmm. Maybe should have a beer.
